Try the 4 activities listed below on atoms, the periodic table, and the trends. Make sure you collect information from each activity that you might include in your final presentation.
*Extra Assignment: Pick 3 words on the word wall above and define them (using pictures or words) on the Padlet for Atoms at the bottom of the page. (You should pick words that have not already been used by classmates.)
1.) Watch the Video below to get a background on atoms and the periodic table. Take notes on what you learn and create your first blog post about what you learn. Blogs need to be posted on the "Blogging Space for Students" tab.

3.) Try to activity below that will allow you to build atoms. Build 6 different elements. Try to build stable isotopes and stable ions for a few different elements as well. Notice that you can change the Model to show the electrons as orbits or as a cloud, take a look at both models.
